EXPERIENCE + Over 6 and a half years of working in the Montgomery market for two different advertising agencies has taught me skill and marketing knowledge. Freelancing for over 5 years has taught me patience and much greater time management. I started as in intern at LWT and was hired on as a designer and production artist after college. Five and a half years later I moved to Cunningham Group to follow my aspirations as an art director.
EDUCATION + I graduated in 2003 from Troy University in Troy, Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree Cum Laude. I earned an Art Double Major in Graphic Design and Painting. During my time at Troy, I studied fine arts as an artist apprentice in Troy, Alabama and Vence, France.
ACHIEVEMENTS + Some of the awards I have received include: two Certificates of Excellence for Createathon® design work; numerous Gold and Silver ADDY® Awards for different projects from the American Advertising Federation–Montgomery, including three Judges’ Choice Awards; and a Silver ADDY® Award for material created for the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts from the American Advertising Federation–7th District. I have been a board member for the American Advertising Federation–Montgomery since 2005, and have been a coordinator for the American Advertising Federation–7th District since 2008.
HOBBIES + If it’s creative, I do it: graphic design (print and web), sewing, painting, drawing, interior design, crafting, decorating, etc. I also volunteer quite a bit, whether for the Advertising Federation, other non-profits, or my church. God gave me a gift, so I use it to better those in need of any creative service I can give. The rest of my time is spent with my wonderful husband and our cat Isabelle, dog Blaze and fish Djembe. We watch movies, tv, hang out, do yard work and travel.

DESIGN + My design services focus on print materials and web design, but I’ve been known to do some video editing, event planning and custom costume sewing commissions. I am a one person boutique, but if there is something I can not achieve, I have many resources to bring in. No job should be too big or too small. I have several examples of each in my PORTFOLIO bar to the right. I listen to what you want, and help you achieve what you need to get the results you desire.
NON-PROFITS + I know and understand the non-profit business. I “get” the pinches of non-profits, from my previous design experience to having been on the board of a non-profit for the last five years. I will always do my best to bring in the most inexpensive price on materials and printing. I want non-profits to have nice-looking materials that are inexpensive but don’t look it! That’s a great way to show potential sponsors and participants that you are the real deal. I am here to be your partner and do what I can to help your organization succeed. For those with absolutely no budget, I have several resources to connect you with to possibly have the design work done for free.
